Artist Showcase #1

Well I said I was going to do this and I am. I think once a week. They will be about the artist and their art. I will pick them in my own twisted way so it's not a "this is my favorite person, this is my next favorite person, etc" kind of thing so uh yeah.

She gets to be first cuz I wuv her and she has a daughter with the same name as my daughter. <-just a random interesting fact.

Demona is a bright, cheerful, talkative, and oddly shy. Aside from the shy part we're alot alike. I tend to chat with her about various ideas and then she curses me for giving her too many ideas. I can't help it if my plot bunnies have rabies... *grins* They don't have their shots. She's gonna go to yaoi-con with me so long as life doesn't throw one of us for a loop and do something to screw that up. I'm looking forward to it and I'm going to drag her around and introduce her to artists (whether I've met them or not).

I absolutely LOVE the way she draw girls! Seriously, I'm not kidding and this is why I am working on the Yuri project/art trade thing with her. I want to see more of her girls. So far my favorites are Mai demonic-demona.deviantart.com/… and the B-day gift demonic-demona.deviantart.com/… she made for me. Of course I'm a little biased on the gift but even my hubby said that it was pretty. She's very creative and I intend to work on more projects with her of varying content. We have talked about working on a children's book even.

I love her linearts, they're so clean and easy to color. She also has this really nice color sense. I've never seen a finished piece where the colors were anything but nice and smooth and pretty.

And she's not expensive. Okay maybe I'm a cheapskate but personally I feel she could charge more for her work and it'd still be worth it. There are a couple of other favorite artist that I have that are this way too. And btw all she just added $10 sketches /w color to the list so feel free to go and support her. She is really good about working with you on how you want your character to look if you do an OC (which is what I have commissioned through her atm-and yes in case you were curious it's a girl).

Next artist showcase: Bwahaha you will just have to wait and see. I might have to roll a dice to decide who to do next. Sooo many choices! I love so many of you!
