Took me awhile but here we go, the new Artist Showcase.

I've been debating who to use for the writer because I have so many I would love to do right now.

The ARTIST this time is... :Lenap: Lenap!

*evil laugher* I picked her because she's on vacation and will be back soon and bwahaha! It just sounded like fun.

Lenap is one of my favorite artist and has become a very good friend. I absolutely love the colors she uses and the lines are all so soft and pretty. She's one of the very few artist that can draw Iruka girlie and have me absolutely fall utterly and completely in love with the pic every time.

Favorite pic? Anything. Pick one at random and I love it! Although I will admit I have an extra fondness for the pieces she's drawn FOR me. I'm so spoiled! Seriously, very spoiled here.

She is one of the sweetest people I know. I love talking to her. It's funny though that she's sooo very sweet and then a total perv at the same time. You just don't expect cute, little, sweethearts like her to be so very dirty minded. But... she /is/!

Okay let's play evaluate her art... and I'll try not to just go "oh it's so pretty!" or get caught in the shiny effect and pass out from ferret shock! hehe

:thumb69995185: This is one of her first pictures of Iruka. Yes very girlie but I love the eyes and the hair. They just really stand out against the other colors. And the heart as a necklace was very clever.

:thumb74094156: I'm fond of this one because you get to see them in casual clothes and the shading on the wrinkles/folds is unque. Plus I like the background, I think it really brings the focus to the kiss.

yaoi.y-gallery.net/view/386692… This one always makes me giggle. I love the way she drew Kakashi-chibi!

yaoi.y-gallery.net/view/389641… I had to share this one, because this was the first one she did just for me. Plus it's a nice way to point out the difference in shading for the fabric. I like both shading styles but wanted to have something to demonstrate the difference. Oh and I like Iruka's arms in this. You can see a difference between this and her first one. He's starting to become a bit more manly although still with that softness that's uniquely hers.

yaoi.y-gallery.net/view/388016… I chose to share this one since it's both a line art and a manga page which it's just neat to see the way she sees them because you get to see interaction and thoughts aside from cuddling which is neat!

This is a good example of how she does people in the background. I love this, you really feel like you're in the room with them because you have so many different layers of people AND yet at the same time Kakashi and Iruka are most definitely the center of attention here.

yaoi.y-gallery.net/view/433008… These two I chose as an example of her more realistic look. Something I noticed looking at these two pics just now is that Iruka has this deer in the headlights look and Kakashi's is very predetory! *grins* I never get enough of looking at her stuff.

And THIS is a commission. So of course I had to show it off as 'her manager.' She does amazing work and it is well worth commissioning her. She puts a lot of effort into the commissions and wants them to be just perfect. She definitely worries more on these and they come out looking gorgeous. I've gotten a glimpse at the second commission and the lines are gorgeous.

And although her favorite pairing (and mine!) is Kakashi and Iruka, she has done other characters from Naruto like: :thumb71341445: Shikamaru, Sai, Jiraiya and Orochimaru,:thumb67954907: Lee and Gaara, :thumb73010990: Sasuke and Sakura, and OF COURSE NARUTO!

And she's done other fandoms like Deathnote and :thumb67628408: Full Metal Alchemist.

She of course has her :thumb87431181: original work which is just as amazing as her fanart and I love it to death! I am particularly fond of :thumb72695347: Do. But all of them are gorgeous!

SHE IS OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS! So seriously check her out! She has beautiful lineart and gorgeous full color pieces, Get One!

The Author this time is... Micah!

And I had a HARD time picking! I just have to console myself with that I will get to fangirl it up for each of them eventually. I am friends with so many great writers that it is next to impossible to pick one to talk about.

I had a list of 6 I really wanted to do this time and I had to roll a die to pick one. I am so darn indecisive. But the 6 are ones that I've recently been reading stories for and their stuff is fresh in my mind.


And like Lenap she's a total sweetheart! I love talking to her. Plus she's freaking hilarious!

yaoi.y-gallery.net/gallery/mic… Shinobi Grape Juice is my favorite series by Micah. It's so freaking funny and sexy. Seriously it's dangerous! I have actually woken the hubby up with my giggling over one of these. He was NOT pleased but damn it's so worth it. I really cannot explain how funny this series is. It really plays off of Iruka's brattiness which I just absolutely love and he is so in charge which is so nice because I can never get enough of Iruka who will put Kakashi in his place... you know whether that be on top or bottom.

She's also doing the yaoi.y-gallery.net/gallery/mic… 100 theme challenge and I absolutely love what she's done so far. She is so creative and goes places I'd never have thought of. Always has a surprise waiting.

While she may be an author she does do some art, and it is utterly adorable! Her use of references is so neat.

And for those of you who don't have mi-cah.deviantart.com/gallery/… ICONS! She does some seriously awesome icons and you should ask to a) use one of hers or b)bribe or beg her to make you one! They are awesome and she has ones other than just Naruto or KakaIru so definitely take a look at them. Or if you're an artist and would like her to turn your art into an Icon she might be able to help. Her icons are so nicely done, and not cluttered like some I've seen.
